Why it works
colaba matches you on what you’ve built, not how you look. Five minutes to meet, thirty to build, and every session leaves you with a project, a clip and maybe a friend.
What people build
Meet a stranger. Build together: a game, a budget app, a website or an AI agent, in just 30 minutes. Then ship it. The four projects shown are examples.
How it works
01 · Profile
Sign in with GitHub, then pick your interests, the problems you'd love to solve and your skill level. Choose today's mood: bring an idea, help with someone else's, or get a surprise challenge.

02 · Match
Every profile is a portfolio: what they've shipped, their GitHub, a short intro video and what they want to build today. Swipe right to say hi. Online now? You meet straight away. Offline? Send a note and pick a time.
03 · Meet · 5 min
Video chat like Omegle, except you already know what they can build. A minute and a half each to introduce yourself, with timed prompts to keep you going, then a minute each to ask the other questions. Five minutes in all, and nobody talks over anyone. Then pick an idea, or skip to the next builder.

You Thanks! Receipt Roast made me laugh. How do the jokes work?
Marco Claude and a very rude prompt.
You OK, we have to build something fun together.
04 · Decide · 2 min
Choose from ideas colaba suggests, or pitch your own. You both have to tap the same one before the clock runs out.
05 · Build · 30 min
Cameras on, screens shared, one small project. When the clock ends, save it with a name and a GitHub link. Then keep going, book another session, or spin again.

Why colaba
Most social apps connect people through photos and small talk. colaba gives two strangers something to make together, and that changes everything about how they meet.
No awkward small talk. A shared thing to make gives you something to focus on, so strangers become friends while doing what they already enjoy.
Press match, meet someone new. Accept or skip. You never know who you'll meet or what you'll build.
Pick an interest or ask for a surprise. Beginners can bring ideas, design, testing or research. Show up curious, leave with something you made.
Face to face on video, screens shared, using the AI coding tools you already love. A game, a website, an agent, or just a fun experiment.
Save the project and its repo, publish a project page and, when you both agree, share the build clip.
Keep building with the people you click with. A casual session can turn into a longer collaboration, a useful product, or even a company.
Build in public
Turn on recording together and colaba finds the best moments: the idea, the breakthrough, the demo. Vertical, captioned and ready for your feed, with both of you credited.
The Builder Board
Five ways in, one place to come back to. Vote for what you love, try it, give feedback, and meet the people behind it.
Examples. Every project is labelled built on colaba, built elsewhere, or looking for collaborators. We never fake votes or activity.
For businesses
Post a challenge. Builders pick it up because it interests them, because they want to learn, or because they see potential. Nothing is a contract until you both agree terms.
A simple tool a farmer can update from their phone in the field.
One honest status page instead of five confusing emails.
Short, playable, made for classrooms.
Where it's going
You never have to want a startup. Friendship brings people in, building keeps them coming back, and real value grows out of what's already happening.
Stage 1
Meet strangers, build together, make friends, have fun.
Stage 2
Teams, challenges, published projects, and building on with the people you like.
Stage 3
Businesses bring problems, customers discover solutions, builders get paid.
The flywheel
Every turn makes the next one easier. It only spins if enough people are online together, matches are good, sessions feel safe and projects are worth sharing.
How it's different
How we position colaba, not a knock on anyone. These platforms support collaboration in their own ways.
